Hard-shell coolant packs with PCM
Hard-shell packs filled with phase change material are available for other temperature requirements. Standard melting points are −21, +5, +18 and +22 °C.
On the PCM page, compare packs with and without chamfered edges and the available fillings. The right combination depends on your application and the system you intend to use.

Choose a matching insulated box
The insulated box limits heat transfer to and from the surroundings, while the coolant packs absorb heat. Both components are selected to suit the products and the intended packout.

What is the difference between HDPE Basic and HDPE Pro?
Basic is a cost-effective, water-based reusable coolant pack. Pro has a more robust shell and a water-based gel filling. Choose the variant that suits the handling demands and the packaging you use.
Which sizes are available?
HDPE Basic is listed in 200, 400 and 750 g sizes. The published standard Pro variant weighs approximately 1,260 g and measures approximately 280 × 190 × 26 mm. Dimensions for the Basic variants are shown in the product comparison.
Are hard-shell packs also available with PCM?
Yes. Alongside the water-based variants, hard-shell packs with PCM fillings are available. The PCM page lists the standard melting points and pack formats.
Can a 0 °C coolant pack be used for +2 to +8 °C?
This depends on the complete packaging configuration and its preparation. The pack’s melting point does not guarantee the product temperature. In particular, the packs must not be too cold when loaded.
How often can the packs be reused?
Basic and Pro are designed for repeated use. Their service life depends on their condition, handling and operating conditions. Inspect the packs before each reuse.
