Gelpack PRO · film-based cooling element with PCM −21
Gelpack PRO combines a robust PA/PE composite film with a coolant that has a melting point of about −21 °C. Six standard formats for selected frozen applications are selectable on this product page. Custom sizes and individual film printing are available on request.

Selection guidance: PCM −21 is intended for selected frozen applications, for example in suitably designed packaging for the −15 to −25 °C range. The coolant melting point is not the product temperature. Suitability for direct contact must be assessed against the permitted product temperature and the complete pack-out.
Dry ice and dangerous-goods note: PCM −21 can be a reusable alternative to dry ice in selected applications. The cooling element itself is not classified as dangerous goods; this does not determine the classification of the complete shipment. Unlike dry ice, the gel pack does not sublimate during transport.
Preconditioning and reuse: Preparation temperature and duration depend on the complete packaging configuration and its defined packing instructions. Reuse is only an option when the film is undamaged and the process permits it. A validated shipping duration cannot be derived from the gel pack alone.
