Pre-qualified insulated shipping systems
Choose a complete passive shipping system that has been tested in an environmental chamber for a defined temperature range, shipping duration and configuration.
Two product lines for different shipping needs
Dry Ice Line
Cost-effective EPS insulated shippers for extended frozen shipments with dry ice.
Medi Line
High thermal performance with straightforward handling: a durable HDPE outer container, vacuum insulated panels (VIPs) and PCM coolant packs.
What pre-qualification tells you
Pre-qualification documents the performance of a defined packaging configuration under a specified test profile. The insulation, coolant type and quantity, preconditioning, payload and packing method work together to maintain the required temperature.
Compare that configuration with your own shipping process. A different payload, route, duration or packout can change performance and may require further assessment.
From a tested system to your shipping process
1. Define the requirement
Specify the product temperature, payload dimensions and weight, shipping duration and expected ambient conditions.
2. Review the packout
Compare a pre-qualified configuration with your handling, preconditioning and packing process.
3. Confirm the fit
Use a suitable existing system or discuss adaptation and additional testing with our thermal engineering team.
Questions about pre-qualified systems
Is the insulated shipper alone pre-qualified?
Performance applies to the tested configuration, including coolant packs, payload, preconditioning and packing instructions. The shipper alone does not establish the performance of a complete shipment.
Which product lines are available?
Dry Ice Line provides EPS shippers for frozen shipments with dry ice. Medi Line combines a reusable HDPE container with VIP insulation and PCM coolant packs.
Can a system be qualified for my requirements?
THERMOCON can review your shipping requirements and test an appropriate configuration in its environmental chambers.
What information helps with selection?
Start with the product temperature range, payload volume and dimensions, shipping duration, route and packing process.
